Hospice Care

Having played the harp for hospice clients since 2003, I specialize in facilitating relaxation and comfort for people who are in the last days of their life. This service has also proved to be highly beneficial for the loved ones of those going through such a transition. I am a Certified Music Practitioner, trained by the Music for Healing and Transition Program (MHTP) to play live music by the bedside of those who are ill or in transition.

"Healing" vs. "Curing"

This service is based on the idea that healing is a holistic process, involving the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects of the person being treated. It is not meant to "cure" physical symptoms or conditions, but rather to bring comfort and a sense of well being, while helping the client adapt to changing circumstances. Positive physical changes may also occur, but are not the primary goal of the service.
